Nutritious and tasty, lentil in the kitchen are a perfect ingredient for many recipes, from soups to salads.
To prepare the classic lentil soup, start by rinsing the dried lentils well and make a careful visual check. Meanwhile, pour cold water into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. After a few minutes, add a little aromatic herbs to taste and a bay leaf. As soon as the water boils, season with salt and pepper, pour in the lentils and lower the heat; if necessary, add hot water during cooking. Cook for about 30 minutes, or longer depending on the desired consistency. Once ready, serve the lentils hot with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
